Hoi An - our Hoi An Greenstay Homestay view of rice paddies. We also tried some specialties dishes of the area: white rose (dumpling with minced pork and shrimp covered in crispy onions), the bahn xeo (a Vietnamese crepe served with rice paper) and the Cao Lau (noodles served with pork).
We made a stop at the vegetable village en route to the beach. This goat herder was walking his flock across the beach. We also tried two of Lady Vy’s places - the Mermaid (Nhu Y) and Cargo.
Phong Na Mtn - cave & grottos. We drove by the river that separated north and south Vietnam on the way to the mountain. After a 30 min boat ride we rowed into this amazing cave. For our last night in Hue, we tried their special local dishes: Bahn nam and bun bo hue (beef noodle soup).
